Description

These new editions are dubbed ‘OKNOTOK’; the box set comes with three 180g black vinyl records containing 23 tracks in total – album, three unreleased tracks and B-sides, all remastered, “from the original analogue master tapes”. OKnotOK is released through XL Recordings, coinciding (roughly) with the original 1997 release date(s) of Radiohead's landmark third album OK Computer. Before its announcement on 2 May 2017, Radiohead promoted OKNOTOK with posters in cities around the world featuring "cryptic" messages, and a teaser video featuring "glitchy" computer graphics and lyrics from "Climbing Up the Walls".

Under this weighty tome are yet more surprises: a notebook containing 104 pages from Thom Yorke’s library of scrawled notes of the time, a sketchbook containing 48 pages of Donwood and Tchock’s ‘preparatory work’ and a C90 cassette mix tape compiled by us, taken from OK COMPUTER session archives and demo tapes. For items that are dispatched using our standard service, we ask that you wait 14 days from the date of dispatch before reporting any items as undelivered. The original studio recordings of these three previously unreleased and long sought after OK Computer era tracks finally receive their first official issue on OKNOTOK.We carry a broad range of CDs and vinyl (7”/12” singles and LPs) and specialise in indie, alternative, rock, punk, metal plus a few other genres. A triple vinyl edition gives you the three records in the box in a triple gatefold sleeve (“designed particularly for this record”). The original studio recordings of these three previously unreleased and long sought-after OK COMPUTER era tracks finally receive their first official issue on OKNOTOK. Unlike previous Radiohead reissues, which were released by EMI without Radiohead's involvement and contained no new material, the band curated the OKNOTOK material themselves. The Observer wrote that the reissue, with its "excellent" unreleased songs, proved that Radiohead were "the world's greatest rock band, pushing the limits of what they, or anyone else, could achieve".

OKNOTOK features the original OK COMPUTER twelve-track album, eight B-sides, and the Radiohead completist’s dream: “I Promise,” “Lift,” and “Man Of War. Lines such as “No alarms/No surprises, please” mirror the protective “like/dislike” bubbles that now surround our daily lives and prevent people from touching each other.Unlike their majestic models U2, Radiohead take on techno without switching instruments or employing trendy producers. OKNOTOK features the original OK Computer twelve track album, eight B-sides, and the Radiohead completist's dream: "I Promise," "Lift," and "Man Of War. There will be a super deluxe edition style box set – with all formats including three unreleased tracks and the eight B-sides from the era.
