A film sequel to the tv adaptation was announced in November 2021 and is scheduled to premiere the following year in April. Nowadays, all manner of art, comics, anime, novels, games, and dramas from many different countries operate under the BL genre heading.

It really is an interesting idea, so hopefully it will pick up in both plot and less confusion in the next volume. Masato Tsuge ( 柘植 将人, Tsuge Masato) Voiced by: Kazuyuki Okitsu [4] (drama CD), Makoto Furukawa [7] (anime) Portrayed by: Kodai Asaka (TV drama) [6] Tsuge is Adachi's friend from college who is a romance novelist. In the present, Adachi says that he has gained more confidence while being around Kurosawa, and they take a photo together. So a lot of this volume, especially the bits with Adachi finding out about Tsuge being a wizard, and Adachi's coworker being an old friend of Tsuge's new crush, felt strangely repetitive. The time has come for Adachi to make his decision whether to accept the transfer to Nagasaki or not – but if he accepts, how will Kurosawa feel? I love the pace of their relationship and how they sort out of their problems by talking about them (even after the fact). Designed and maintained by devoted ani I think it was probably that the author was doing something with her letters on the Twitter serialization and the letterer was striving to match that intensity, but for me I found it just a bit much. So, if you’re curious about this title, well, it’s really more about the journey than the destination.

Meanwhile, Tsuge and Minato have officially started dating, but their relationship doesn't seem to be going anywhere, creating anxiety for Tsuge.

I love that the story deliberately avoids falling into any of the time-tried and frankly problematic BL tropes. The chapter in which Adachi and Kurosawa start looking for somewhere to live together after they’re married is rather endearing as they imagine themselves in different types of accommodation from an old-style traditional house to a high-rise condo. I think this maybe has the opposite, effect, as they’re gross monsters with no sexual characteristics to begin with, but covering them up creates a different implication? They were largely responsible for not just translation and sound effects, but de-censoring (repenising, to riff on David’s turn-of-phrase) this manga. The translation for Square Enix Manga is, as usual, by Taylor Engel and reads well; there are some helpful translation notes at the end.

Occasionally localized as both Yu Toyota and You Toyota ( including by the author herself on Twitter), Yuu Toyota was born February 10th (uncertain year!

Later, Adachi uses his special power to assist Kurosawa during the work day, after Kurosawa is in a bind with a tough client, learning that the company president is a sweet tooth. Adachi talks to Masato Tsuge, a romance novelist, for advice, but Tsuge doesn't believe Adachi has special powers and suggests he use the crush to his advantage, but Adachi refuses. Toyota described Kurosawa as being "handsome" but being a "mess" on the inside at the same time, while also having pure feelings of love for Adachi.
